1999–2002 E36/8 (E36/8) facelift

2 modifications · The BMW Z3 Coupe expanded the Z3 line with a fixed-roof body style based on the same compact sports-car platform as the roadster. It entered the U.S. market for the 1999 model year and remained on sale there through 2000 before the facelifted coupe arrived. The E36/8 coupe became one of the most distinctive and limited-production Z3 variants.

7 modifications · The Z3 Coupe expanded the Z3 family with a fixed-roof body style based on the same compact sports-car platform. It entered the U.S. market later than the roadster and was sold there before the facelifted version arrived. The coupe became the more unusual and limited-production member of the Z3 range.

1996–2000 E36/7 (E36/7) facelift

10 modifications · The Z3 Roadster was the original production body style for BMW’s Z3 line, introduced in the mid-1990s as a compact two-seat convertible. It reached the U.S. market for the 1996 model year and remained on sale there through 2000 before the facelifted version arrived. Early U.S. Z3 Roadsters established the model’s long-hood, rear-wheel-drive roadster formula.
