2015–2019 F06/F12/F13 (F06/F12/F13) facelift

10 modifications · BMW refreshed the F06/F12/F13 6 Series for the 2015 model year with updated styling and revised details. The facelifted lineup continued in the U.S. until the 2019 model year, including Gran Coupe and xDrive versions. This was the final 6 Series phase sold new in the United States.

2012–2014 F06/F12/F13 (F06/F12/F13)

6 modifications · BMW’s third modern 6 Series generation arrived for 2012 as the F12 convertible and F13 coupe, with the F06 Gran Coupe joining for 2013. U.S. offerings included 640i, 650i, xDrive, and Alpina B6 variants across the lineup. This generation carried the 6 Series name through the 2019 model year in the U.S.

2008–2010 E63/E64 (E63/E64) facelift

2 modifications · BMW updated the E63/E64 6 Series for the 2008 model year with revised styling and equipment. The facelifted cars continued the coupe and convertible lineup in the U.S. through 2010. This phase is the later lifecycle update of the second-generation 6 Series.

2004–2007 E63/E64 (E63/E64)

4 modifications · BMW revived the 6 Series in 2004 with the E63 coupe and E64 convertible. In the U.S., the range included 645Ci models first, then 650i and 650i xDrive variants after the 2006 model-year update. This generation ended after the 2010 model year in the U.S.

1984–1989 E24 (E24)

5 modifications · The first BMW 6 Series was the E24 grand-touring coupe, introduced in the U.S. for 1984. It remained on sale through the 1989 model year, with the final U.S. cars carrying the 635CSi nameplate. This generation established the 6 Series as BMW’s large luxury coupe.
