2021–2025 G22/G23/G26 (G22/G23/G26)

9 modifications · The second-generation BMW 4 Series arrived in the U.S. for the 2021 model year with the G22 coupe and G23 convertible, followed by the G26 Gran Coupe. It introduced the larger, more angular design language that defined the modern 4 Series family. This generation is still sold new in the U.S. market.

2017–2020 F32/F33/F36 (F32/F33/F36) facelift

11 modifications · BMW updated the first-generation 4 Series for 2017 model-year production, with revised exterior details and a renamed U.S. lineup centered on 430i and 440i badges. The facelift covered coupe, convertible, and Gran Coupe body styles. It remained on sale in the U.S. through the 2020 model year.

2014–2016 F32/F33/F36 (F32/F33/F36)

12 modifications · The first BMW 4 Series generation replaced the 3 Series coupe and convertible naming with a distinct 4 Series line. In the U.S., it launched for the 2014 model year as the 428i and 435i coupe and convertible, with the Gran Coupe joining for 2015. This generation ended after the 2016 model year before the facelifted range arrived.
