2011–2013 E88 (E88) facelift

2 modifications · BMW applied the same 2011 facelift to the U.S.-market 1 Series Convertible, keeping the E88 body code in place. The refreshed convertible continued as the 128i Convertible and 135i Convertible. Production for the U.S. market ended after the 2013 model year.

2011–2013 E82 (E82) facelift

3 modifications · For 2011, the U.S.-market 1 Series Coupe received a facelift while retaining the E82 body code. BMW updated the exterior and interior details and continued to offer the 128i and 135i through the end of the model’s run. This facelift phase lasted until the coupe was discontinued after 2013.

2008–2010 E88 (E88)

8 modifications · The BMW 1 Series Convertible joined the U.S. lineup for the 2008 model year alongside the coupe. It used the E88 body code and was sold as the 128i Convertible and 135i Convertible. U.S. availability continued through the 2013 model year.

2008–2010 E82 (E82)

3 modifications · The BMW 1 Series Coupe launched in the U.S. for the 2008 model year as the brand’s smallest rear-wheel-drive coupe. U.S. market versions included the 128i and 135i, both using the E82 body code. It remained on sale through the 2013 model year before being replaced by the 2 Series coupe.
