3 modifications · The current fourth-generation Audi A3 sedan reached the U.S. market for the 2022 model year. It continues the A3 nameplate in sedan form and replaced the prior 8V-based U.S. car. This generation remains on sale in the United States.

2015–2020 8V (8V) facelift

4 modifications · The second-generation U.S. A3 switched to a sedan body style and launched for the 2015 model year. It broadened the lineup with the A3 Cabriolet and the A3 e-tron plug-in hybrid, while quattro versions were also offered. This generation ended in the U.S. after the 2020 model year as the next A3 sedan took over.

2 modifications · The first-generation Audi A3 debuted in Europe in the mid-2000s and reached the U.S. for the 2006 model year as a five-door premium hatchback. U.S. sales continued through the 2013 model year, with the A3 quattro variant offered alongside the front-wheel-drive model in later years. This generation established the A3 nameplate in the American market before the sedan-based successor arrived.
