1980–1987 First generation
15 modifications · The AMC Eagle launched as one of the first American passenger cars with full-time four-wheel drive, combining car-like road manners with raised ride height and all-weather capability. It was offered in multiple body styles during its run, including sedan, hatchback, and wagon variants, and became the best-known AMC Eagle family in the U.S. market. Production continued through the 1987 model year before the nameplate ended.
