1990–1998 164 (Type 164) facelift
2 modifications · The facelifted Alfa Romeo 164 introduced updated exterior detailing and revised trim while retaining the same Type Four-based sedan architecture. This phase continued the model’s European production after the original launch phase and is the version that carried the 164 through the end of its lifecycle. It was not sold new in the U.S. after the 1995 model year.

1987–1990 164 (Type 164)
6 modifications · The original Alfa Romeo 164 debuted in 1987 as the brand’s large front-wheel-drive executive sedan, sharing the Type Four platform with several other European flagships. It was styled by Pininfarina and sold in the United States beginning with the 1991 model year. U.S. sales ended after the 1995 model year.
